The research project Citizen friendly datacommunication explores how public bodies can unlock relevant data to citizens in a different and better way.
It is about finding an optimal balance between giving citizens access to the government information they want, without providing an information-overload, and without damaging the public body unnecessarily.

EU Dataviz presentation on citizen friendly datavisualisation – by Lisanne & Shirley

Lisanne van Weelden en Shirley Kempeneer present project results at the EU Dataviz conference on November 23 and 24. EU DataViz is an international conference about open data and datavisualization. It is organized as part of the EU Open Data days. The first day focuses on ways to open up data for re-use. The second day focuses on datavisualization. The conference is free and accessible to the wider public.
